December 1 – 11
Sedona Restaurant Week – This event gives local foodies and visitors the chance to experience a selection of specially priced meals from a wide variety of Sedona’s restaurants. Guests will enjoy three-course, prix-fixe dinner menu including an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Restaurant participants will offer their special menu between 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Some restaurants will extend the hours. Sedona transforms into a red rock winter wonderland for the entire month of December with events, festivals, and entertainment sure to enchant everyone. Discover the perfect destination for families and friends to celebrate the holiday season, make memories and create new traditions – all in the most beautiful place on Earth.
December 1st – 4th
30th Made In Clarkdale December Art Show
The 30th Year of Made In Clarkdale December Show will be a bit different and their are some grand changes. This year there will be an all new format showcasing Made In Clarkdale artists. The show opens December 1st (10:00 am to 7:00 pm), the Gala Friday night celebration will be December 2nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The show will feature over 40 artists displaying their work in their booths, and being there to meet visitors and discuss their work. It will be a great opportunity for the public to meet the artists, view their work and purchase original art, paintings, sculpture, pottery and hand-crafted items just in time for the holidays. On Friday evening at the Gala Celebration, food, wine, beer and drink will be provided by the the Clarkdale Business Alliance Member companies for a small purchase price.
Friday, December 2, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Canyon Breeze Plaza in Uptown. Enjoy the Tree-lighting, entertainment and Santa visits with children. Free event presented by Sedona Main Street Program, Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau and City of Sedona.
Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to bring to you for the seventh year running, our Breakfast with Santa event. After breakfast, children can enjoy making winter crafts, as well as sitting on Santa’s lap. Parents, don’t forget to bring your camera! This event is free, so come for the pancakes (and more), come for the crafts and most of all, come to see Santa Claus! At the Sedona Teen Center located in Posse Grounds Park. Doors open at 8:00 a.m.
December 3-4
The Nutcracker
The Phoenix Ballet and Sedona Chamber Ballet will present breathtaking performances of The Nutcracker on December 3rd and 4th at the Sedona Performing Arts Center. Enjoy a Nutcracker production with professional sets, costumes and, most importantly, internationally acclaimed, award winning dancers.
December 4
Guided Meditation with Sarah McLean & expert meditation mentors
During the 45-minute program, simple meditation guidance is given–each week a different meditation is offered such as a Loving Kindness Meditation, Mindfulness, Visualization, Breath Awareness, or Gratitude Meditation. No experience is necessary to attend. Walk ins welcome, though you must arrive on time to participate and be 13 or older.
December 10

Sedona Heritage Museum – Christmas in the Park
Christmas in the Park is the Museum’s annual gift to the community and visitors. Be greeted by our traditional tumbleweed snowman. Enjoy hot cider and cookies, vintage holiday decorations, a fire in the fireplace and ‘make & take’ a cornhusk doll. At 1pm there’ll be a holiday music concert. Throughout the Museum there will be old-timers telling stories and local authors signing their books. Check out the sale in the Museum Gift Shop.

December 18
The program is included with the park admission Red Rock State Park has been a destination for Native Americans for several millennia. Most of the ancient features found in the park are from the Sinagua culture dating about 1100 to 1425 AD. Come and hear the fascinating story of the pre-Columbian people who lived and traveled in the park! The hike will identify the various archaeological features and interpret them into the wider context of important regional Sinagua sites. Explore ideas of other cultures that may likely have made use of the park’s resources. The hike will last about two hours, with an elevation gain of some 250 feet, along easy trails.
December 30 – 31
Ice Skate in Sedona
Bring back memories and make some new ones, ice skate in Sedona! Parks and Recreation brings to you a synthetic, outdoor ice skating rink in the heart of Sedona. You won’t believe it’s not real ice! When the sun goes down, take a stroll around Tinsel Town at Tlaquepaque. Thousands of lights in various displays are sure to end your holidays with a smile. Parking is available in the main parking lots of Tlaquepaque as well as in the Municipal Parking lot at 260 Schnebly Road. Shuttles will be available to take you from the Municipal lot to the event.

December 31
Great Gatsby New Years Eve Party
Don’t miss the Great Gatsby New Years Eve Party at Sound Bites Grill! Ring in the New Year with great food and Live music featuring “The Big Lucky”! The Gourmet Dinner Buffet will be swinging along with the dance floor! There will also be a Balloon Drop, Party Favors and a special toast at midnight. All seating is social, Great Gatsby Theme attire suggested.
