Comfortable and memorable

We stayed four nights in the Cathedral Suite and two nights in the Pyramid Suite and liked them both for different reasons – both were well stocked with kitchen amenities and provided a small fridge, which we enjoyed so we could make our own breakfasts and lunches, and also were extremely clean, luxuriously appointed and comfortable. The location is great – away from the too-busy touristy part of Sedona, and although a little far from attractions on the other side of Oak Creek, very close to food and shopping in West Sedona, and also just down the road from the famous Red Rock Crossing and sunset views of Cathedral Rock. In fact, on our first night there, we walked down to witness “The Glow” on Cathedral Rock and got to witness a spontaneous wedding proposal when we paused at a more secluded viewpoint at the edge of a meadow near Crescent Moon Ranch. When we offered to take a young couple’s photo, the man handed us his I-phone with wide eyes and miming the words “I’m about to propose” and we got to snap photos of him going down on one knee, proposing to his very surprised girlfriend (who luckily and immediately said yes), pulling out a ring and then embracing his new fiancee. We didn’t get their names (we skedaddled out of there soon after to give them some privacy) and never saw them again, but I will never forget that “Sedona Moment.” We wouldn’t have had it if we didn’t stay at the Sedona Suites.
One note: The wi-fi connection is immediate and great; however, we couldn’t get cell phone service in the suites themselves. We could with just a short walk up the road though.
